Magpiny built the NotesApp as an Open Source / Free application. This service is provided by Magpiny at no cost and is intended for use as-is. This page serves to inform application users regarding our strictly protective policies concerning the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information.

🛡️ 100% Offline Architecture

NotesApp is a fully offline application. It contains no external network capabilities, tracking scripts, or third-party analytics integrations. Your data stays entirely on your physical device.

1. Information Collection and Use

Because NotesApp operates entirely local to your device, we do not collect, store, transmit, or distribute any personal data, structural content, usage trends, or technical logs to external cloud servers. Since none of your text entries or structural information ever crosses the internet, your privacy is implicitly enforced by your own device's internal security sandboxing architecture.

2. Device Permissions Requested

To support core offline functionalities like media attachment, local reminders, and voice entries, NotesApp requests the following system-level permissions. These are used exclusively for immediate on-device processing:

Storage & Media Access READ/WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

Allows the application to locally save, retrieve, import, and export backup files or structural notes directly to your designated filesystem directories. Your documents never leave local storage.

Alarms & System Reminders SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM

Required to register exact system events for user-configured time alerts and localized push notifications, ensuring reminders wake up timely via the integrated Android system clock architecture.

Audio & Sound Capturing RECORD_AUDIO

Grants permission to record embedded audio notes or voice memos within your markdown text entries. Audio payloads are captured and serialized locally to your secure internal device application context.

3. Third-Party Services & Integrations

The application purposefully omits any commercial Advertising SDKs, usage trackers, error reporting trackers (such as Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics), or telemetry suites. No persistent identification cookies or background web webhooks are present within the software stack.

4. Data Security

We recognize the paramount importance of data integrity. Because all operational assets reside within local boundaries, your information's safety mirrors your phone's operational safety. We strongly advise enforcing strong system lock protocols (such as precise biometric access or complex device PIN arrays) and maintaining regular platform operating updates to protect your device ecosystem.

5. Children’s Privacy

Our services do not intentionally or unintentionally target or process data from individuals under the age of 13. Given that the software lacks standard networking interfaces, it remains incapable of transmitting or compiling tracking lists or profile information from any demographic group.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may periodically update our Privacy Policy to reflect codebase alignment or platform modifications. We suggest reviewing this file documentation occasionally. Any modifications will be posted openly right here and will take immediate effect upon publishing.
